Strong condemnation of the action of the Memorial Hall Committee in utilising revenue collected from the hall for the payment of furnishings and equipment contained therein, instead of contributing it towards the sinking fund of the hall, was expressed at Monday evening's meeting of the Papanui Progress League. After considerable discussion the secretary was instructed to write to the Hall Committee on the subject.
