SNUFF CAUSES MURDER.

Monsieur and Madame Grangeat, a young married couple, living on the best of terms, had a friend to dinner. As the guest departed Madame took out a snuff box and helped herself to a pinch. The husband laughingly said, "Fancy taking snuff at your age." Madame thereupon flew into a rage, ran to her bedroom and returned with a loaded revolver and.shot her husband dqad. "I do not know what made me do it," she explained to the police when arrested. "We were very happy and had saved enoifgh money to retire and live in the country."
