It is alleged that they gave expen sivo entertainments at their villa outside Moscow, and also in Leningrad, where, on one occasion, handfuls of gold were flung to gipsy girls. Other charges are that the brothers maintained a beautiful villa in the Crimea, whence frequently they took parties of women in flower-decked motor-caia, that Alexander possessed 17 suits, and that as president of the Russian Commercial and Industrial Bank he showed favouritism to hi* relatives and engaged, among others without banking experience, & young Moscow ballet dancer.

It is further alleged that Alexander advanced the bank's money at a trivial rate of interest to Jacob, who was manager of the Angla-Russian Construction Company, whereby the bank lost £115,000, calculating interest at tho customary rate.
