GERMAN RAILWAYS.
INTERNATIONALISATION RESENTED.
(BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION —COPTRIGH.T.) (•'THE TIMES.") LONDON, March 4. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" says that from a speech delivered by the Minister of Communications it would appear that Germany does not intend to agree to international! sation of her railways. Referring to the proposal to make the ra.ilwa.ya a pledge and guarantee for a reparations loan, the Minister said that he hoped the Expert Committee would choose a reasonable method of solving the problem and not be guided merely by French, hatred. The committee could be assured that the German Government would never assent to a scheme involving internationalisation of railways. Finances could never be satisfactorily adjusted under international control, while it would be impossible, from a national viewpoint, to place 750,000 officials and workmen under international administration. The German Government declined responsibility for any 6ueh arrangement. The railways must remain under German control.
