UTILITY POULTRY CLUB.

MONTHLY BUSINESS MEETING. The monthly meeting of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club was held last night, Mr W. A. Gee presiding over a good attendance. Mr H. Beck reported on the proposal to shut up the ducks for the winter. A motion proposing that the ducks should be shut up was negatived. Canterbury Poultry Producers, Ltd., wrote offering to replace the club's new boxes, but expressing the opinion that' the. club should pay for the. new fillers. The letter was received, and the chairman said that the company's offer was a generous one. Mr P. 0. Reynolds wrote resigning from the >club on account of ill-health. It was decided to hold the letter oyer, Mr H. Williams undertaking to' see Mr Reynolds with the view of inducing him to remain a member. The caretaker reported that.. the birds had picked up wonderfully during the past few weeks, due to the warmer weather and good. food. ' Mr R. M. S. Cookson suggested that it would be of educational valffh to hive recorded the ailments from which the birds reported to have- been treated for sickness were ~ suffering. .
