LINWOOD TEAM'S TOUR. Teams representing the Linwood Bowling Club, who are on a bowling tour through South Canterbury and North" Otago, commenced their Berics of matches to-day, playing Methven at Methven in the morning and Ashburton on the Aahburton green in the afternoon. Following are the scores at Methven:—

At tho ninth head in the rinks, Galbraith's rink was 19 to Linwood's 6. Linwood then made a great (recovery, and at the 213t heed they were 16 to 23. At the close of tha games, Mr R. Galbraith, on behalf of the Ashburton Club, thanked Linwood for visiting Ashburton and affording suhc an enjoyable afternoon's bowling. Mr J. Allen briefly replied, and expressed a hope that Ashburton would visit Linwood next season and that matches between Ashburton and Linwood would be annual fixtures. He also stated that Linwood intended sending an eight rink team to play Ashburton on the Ashburton green. The Linwood team phvys Geraldine to-day (Tuesday) and Temuka on Wednesday. STANSELL SHIELD. Ten rinks -were engaged on tßa Timaru gTeen on Saturday afternoon in a match for the Stansell shield. The competition will be concluded on Saturday next.
