The monthly meeting of the committee of the Society for the Prevention of Crue-ty to Animals was held lust night. Pre.ent: Air J. 0. Jameson (chairman), Mrs Biltciiff, Messrs A. Morten, J. The Inspector said that he was of the opinion that if the Society moved in the matter some assistance might be gained and something might be done.

It was decided to endaavour to have the loading conditions improved. The financial statement showed a debit balance of £9 4s lOd.
