The patient learned that the end was near, the doctors' estimate being 10 days. .Nevertheless, hs cahled his Bon, who- was living in Australia, to ootae. The dying man. kept a inap at his bedside, and daily traced the progress of the steamer bringing his son, and died an hour after his son's arrival.
