RANGIORA in the making. Is the title of an authoritative historv dating .right back to 1853 o£ the thriving North Canterbury town, written by Miss G. M. Turner, M.A., and published in the "North Canterbury News." The "News" is a new eight-page weekly paper, the first issue being published at Rangiora this morning, and the history is appearing in instalments. To-day's "News" contains in addition two other lengthy articles on Local Topics, a page of specially-written articles for farmers, a serial story, "hnd a budget of general reading, including "The Freneli View of the Nest Great War," by Colonel Jeu Fabry, who was General Joffre's Chief of Cabinet during a period of the war, and who is a recognised authority on all military matters in Europe. <5
