There was a Lord Torrington, said to have been only 14 when he first spoke, and there was another member of 15. The famous Lord Chesterfield boasted that he spoke in the Commons a month before he. was of age, and Charles Fox seems to have, entered the House at the age of 19. Chatham was only just of ace when' he crossed swords with 'Walpole.
