During the hearing of the Bhop assistants' dispute, wherein an application ia ben/ made for a Dominion award, two Hawko's Bay firms' employees objected to the citation on the ground that the award existing profit-sharicg systems, which were quite satisfactory. Representatives of th) union and employers both Baid they taw no" reason for the fear, and thj objec'ions were rejected by the council. The dispute covers the whole Dominion, •exrept Canterbury, which recently arrived at an agreement.
