ALLEGED ABSCONDER.
AN AUCKLAND CASE. (PEESS ASSOCIATION TEU.QUAM.) AUCKLAND, January 30. Information has been received that George Morris, a builder, of Auckland, who disappeared and -was made bankrupt in May last, has been arrested in Melbourne and has been waiting in custody for a fortnight for proof of identity. At a creditors' meeting in May, the Official Assignee stated thlat the unsecured claims totalled £3-556 in addition to liens against contracts. So far as he could see, there was not a brass farthirjg for the ordinary creditors.
