OLD MAN'S DEATH.
0 The inquest on Richard Rowland Davis, who was identified as the man found dead in a section in Hereford street on November 12th, was concluded yesterday afternoon, before the Coroner, Mr H. Y. Widdowson. J Thomas Preston, 316 Worcester street, said he had known I>avis for over 50 ! years. Deceased was an old age pensioner and was about 80 years of age. He had been a lodger at witnesses place for about five years. Deceased had complained several times of a pain in his chest. On the. Sunday deceased was in bed most of the day. On November sth Davis left the place for good. The pension paper of the deceased was found, and when he did not come back ; witness waited a fortnight and then notified the police. "Witness identified the photographs of the deceased taken before and after death, and a watch and chain which had belonged to Davis. The Coroner said it was quite clear that the man found on the section was { Richard Rowland Davis, a single man, I about SO years of age. He thought j that probably deceased had been suf- j ferine from some heart trouble while • walking down Hereford street, and had gone into the section and died there, j Death was due to natural causes, as i shown by Dr. Pearson's post-mortem J examination. i
