OVERHANGING TREES.
TO THE EDITOR 0? "THE PRESS." Sir, —I have been waiting to see how long the public will have to put up with walking under tree 3 that in rainy weather drip, drip on the pedestrian til] he is wet through. Apart from this nuisance, in some places overhanging trees and hedges are a positive danger, but although notice to cut fences and trees in eases which are not at all serious have, I know, been served, in the more menacing instances I have referred to, nothing is done. Why? Has anyone got any "pull"? Has the Inspector of Nuisances ever walked up or down Papanui road past the corner of Webb street South? Has he ever been near the corner of Bugby and Naseby streets? Other instances of great nuisances could be given, but where arc the inspectors?— Yours, etc., FAIR PLAT.
