that "Gibbs Town" was printed on the rjlan of preachers for the Methodist circuit. In a book of travel printed in England in 1863, Woodend is referred toaL a rising town. Therefore, when did the change of name from Gibbs Town" take place? Why was that name thrown overboard? The good folks at Woodend may feel interested by the, side hghts givec it the letters wnic'n have appeared, thanks to The Press," but still it. is concerning the naming of Woodend.— Yours, etc., J.L.W.
