ITALY AND JUGO-SLAVIA.
TREATY MAKES FOR PEACE. (jre CAEtB—PKES3 ASSOCIATION' COPEBJXSSCT.) (beutee's telegrams.) ROME, January 28. The Jugo-Slavia mission was entertained tit a banquet at the Venezia PaLa.ce. , Signor Mussolini, in proposing M. Pashitch's health,'said that the treaty just concluded closed a tempestuous period of post-war history. Henceforward the economical, political, and spiritual collaboration of Italy and Jugo-Slavia would constitute an essen-. tial element in European peace. Remarkable scenes of enthusiasm were witnessed in Rume. Tho church bells were rung and torchlight processions were held. Tho Governor-Gen-eral and other dignitaries addressed the crowd, congratulating; Italy on the retention of Piumo and exhorting them to let bygones be bygones. [Under tho treaty settlement Italy annexes but Jugo-Slavia is given the use of the port for half a century.]
