ANOTHER ASSASSINATION. (BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT ) (AUSTBALLAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) BERLIN, January 27. Herr Schlicht, a well-known Rhineland Separatist leader, was astmssinafc ed in tho village of Adnau. His assailants escaped. [Early this month Herr Heintz, President o~ th© Separatist Government of the Bavarian Palatinate, was assassinated while dining in a restaurant at Speyer. A band of young men was responsible, all th 3 members getting safely away. The band threatened that other traitors would meet a similar fate.] BRITISH OFFICER THREATENED. (BBUTEB's TBLEOSAM3.) (Received January 28th. 8.15 p.m.) BERLIN, January 27. A Ludwigshafen telegram to the "Lokal Anzeiger" states that one of the Separatist leaders threatened that if Mr R. H. Clive (British ConsulGeneral) returns to Munich he will be murdered, because what ho has done to the Separatists of the Palatinate cannot be left unrevenged.
