Au extensive grass fir© broke out near Blenheim on Wither Hills and spread over many miles of sheep country, destroying a big acreage of sheep feed. A few sheep, one stack of hay, and some plantations were burned. One hundred fire-fighters were engaged from all quarters, and the fire was suppressed late in the evening.
