j CENTRE COMPETITIONS. The four rink championship and pennant competition of the Christchurch Bowling Centre were resumed on Saturday, when tha first matches in the poat-aection.'il play took place. Only three . teams had been left in the .championship—United, Sumner and Edgeware—and a semi-final match was played between United and Sumntrr on the Sydenham green, - Edge-ware having drawn the bye. The match resulted in a win for the' United team by the narrow margin of four points. Stunner won three of the four games played, but lo3t the match on the aggregate number of points scored. United wju piay Edgeware in the final. In the pennant competition, Edgewaire i and Sydenham had won two sections each and two teams from Edgewarc played two teams from Sydenham in the semi-finals on Saturday. One match was won fay Edgeware by three games to nil, and the other by Sydenham by three games to nil. One team from each club will meet in the final.
