GREEK TEMPLE.
RELIC OF THE AGES. (si cable—rsEss association corTaiuirr.) ("tins TIMES.' } LONDON, December 6. The Belgrade correspondent of "The Times" says that an ancient Greek temple was discovered whole when the foundations of a church were being dug at Doiran, Southern Macedonia. The workmen were at a depth of six feet when they found large columns of white marble. Ignorant of its archrelogicaf value, the men considerably injured the columns in the course of tiso work, and even allowed people to carry oft portions. Two well-preserved marble tablets were also found bearing finely carved reliefs of the heads of six Greek gods. The Archaeological Society of Belg;.*ide is trying to recover the missing portions in order to reconstruct the temple as far as possible. Already thero has been unearthed an enormous vase in which two men can stand. LMany human bonos and a largo quantity of ancient coins have also been found.
