ANIMALS' WELFARE WEEK.
(PKSSS ASSOCIATION TXLZGBjLU.) OAMARU, December 4. Animals' Welfare Week, which has been introduced to New Zealand by Mr J. A. Forbes, of Oamaru, has been sympathetically received in all porta of the Dominion. A public meeting was held here tonight. at winch addresses were given by the Deputy-Mayor and Mr J. A. Macpherson, M.P., emphasising the im-r portanoe of educating people to regard dumb animals in their proper sphere of the general scheme of Nature It. is hoped to follow the example of England, and make Animals' Welfare Week an annual observance.
