Magistrate's Court. At the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr W. T. lister, J.P., Norman MoDonald, a second offender for drunkenness, was convicted and fined 10a. For damaging a cell can, tile property of the New Zealand Government, he was ordered to pay the cost of renewal, 253. | Benefit Concert. A benefit ocncert, organised by a small committee; of Heathcote residents, was given in the Heathcote Club Hall on Saturday evening, in aid of fund which is being raised to assist a widow with, a young family. The Black and White Sunshine Players ihade a welcome appearance in their usual bright and varied entertainment. After the concert, a dance was held, for which Mr Frank King was M.C. and Misßes Bloom and E. Veale provided the music. There was a largo number present, and the financial results were most satisfactory. St. Saviour's Girls' Club. An entertainment will be given by the St. Saviour's Girls' Club to-morrow, which promises to be mosrt enjoyable. The items are varied and well chosen, and the entertainment should prove most acceptable to all. Bowing Club.
