FINE BROAD JUMP.

In the Dunn Shield athletic contest, the broad jump was won by Dr. Honner, with a jump of 23ft 6Jin, a Dunn Shield record. (The Dunn Shield is competed for annually by Sydney amateur athietic clubs. Dr. Honner waa formerly a prominent Sydney University athlete. His jump comes within an inch of the Australasian Record for the event; the world's record ia 25ft 3in.)
