GERALDINE CLUB. The closing day of the Geraldine Golf Club waa on Saturday, when a match was played by teams representing the captain and the secretary. The secretary's team won by 4 gamea. The players were the guests of the member's wives who do not play golf. The champions of the club are—Seniors: Miss C. Withew, G. N. Feflden; juniors: Miss R. A. Withers, A. Mackenzie. The Championship Clip, presented this year by Mr G. N. Feilden, was very appropriately won by the donor, who was at the top of his form and beat thd first and second players of the club. The presentation of trophies was made "by the club's preaident, wnen there was a large attendance of members. In congratulating the winners, Mr B. B. Macdonald remarked that the Misses Withers believed in keeping the ladies' championships in the family. He also spoka of the appropriateness of Mr Feilden's win end good scores ho made; and remarked, on' the large membership ihe club now has and of the very successful season just closed. To-morrow a match will be played against the North End Club, Timaru, at the Show Grounds, Timaru.. The following is the local team:—C. Kerr, Sheldon, Dr. Paterson, Feikfeai, Harper, McKechnie, P. G. Withers, B. E. Mpodon/d4 D. Macdonald, Thomaa and Webster.

In the first round of the English ladies' golf championship Miss Doris Chambers, the present champion, beat Mrs Guy Williams (New Zealand), 3 up anil 2 to play, and Miss C. Lascelles (Melbourne) beat Misa Baird 4 and 8.
