The preacher at.Wesley Church Fitzgerald avenue to-morrow morning will be the Rev. F. T. Bead. At the evening service the Rev. E. D. Patohett, -will give an address on "A Hymn for' Days of Healing" : "At Even Ere the Sun was Set," Miss G. Lamas will sing the sacred solo "flow Lovely are Thy Dwellings" and the choir the anthem "God is Love."
The Addington Amateur Swimming Club will hold a euchre and danoe evening in the Seiwyn street HaU to-night, commencing at 7.30 o'clock. --
The annual meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association will be held in the Stock Exchange rooms, Oxford terrace, on Saturday, September 15th, commencing at 7.45 p.m.
The Canterbury Education Board notify that the North Brighton School will be constituted a main school, and taking' ail standards, as from Monday, October Ist. The annual meeting of shareholders of the Broadfield Shearing Shed Company will be held in the Broadfield Schoolroom, on Saturday,. September 15th, at 8 pjn. The Lake Coleridge electric power suTiply will be cut off' in the Tai Tapu district today from 12.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. A public meeting will be' held in the Swannanoa HaU on Monday,-September 17th, aft 7 p.m.' to elect trustees for the abovementioned hall. The next meeting of the Home Economics Association will be held in the Y.MXJ.A. next Friday at'7.3o p.m. * . A jumble eale will be held in the Oddfellows' HaU, Hazeldean road, to-day, at 2.30 p.m. A spring fiower show will be held on the 19th and 20th inst. at St. Saiviour'a Church, Sydenham. It wUI be opened by Mrs J... Cracroft Wilson. Messrs Bradbury and! A. G. Bull are showing Bpecial exhibits, whilst o bazaar and children's work will form additional attractions.
