SCOTTISH SOCIETY.
The monthly Ceilidh of the Scottish Society of Now Zealand was held on Thursday evening, the attendance being curtailed owing to the inclement weather and the influenza epidemic. Chief John S. Cbiaholm preeided. Pipe-Major Patterson opened with a selection on the war pipes. Musical items were given by the following:—Songs; Mrs Caldwell, Messrs Donaldson, Bell fcnd Lucoy; instrumental duet, Miss Hiaooolc and Mr Woodward. Miss Henry danoed the Highland Fling, tho Seaunn triubhaua was danced by Misa Bruco, tho Gillio Calum by Miss McGregor, a hornpipe by Miso Bruce, an«t a reel by the members of the Juvenile Dancing Class. The accompaniments for the vocalists were played by Mra E. A. Smith and Miss G. Eaton.
