AN ECHO OF LAST SHIPPING STRIKE.
(PHIS 3 ASSOCIATION TELEGBAit.) WELLINGTON, July 13. An echo from the last shipping strike was heard in the Court when Waieh, Dent, and Hart, seamen, of We.ljggton, claimed tho Bums of £4O to £ii from tho Union Company. They were employed on tho Marama and were dich&rged when the steamer reached Sydney. According to plaintiffs, there was troublo on the voyage between the unionists and the non-unionists, and several of the latter were severely injured. Certain men were put ashore in consequence. The Magistrate held there was no wrongful dismissal, end gave judgment for the company.
