N.S.W. COAL-MINES AGREEMENT.

The Coal Conference agreed that work should be resumed in a fortnight, provided that the Owners' and Miners' Associations agreed to ratify the decision reached. It is reported that a special tribunal will consider the cases of. miners objected to b- the owners. It is stated that the coal miners have agreed to forgo their protest against the owners' right to give fourteen days' notice of dismissal as a part of the settlement. While it is understood that the general body of the miners welcome the settlement, the Communist .-ection are expected to oppose it.
