THE LONDON CONFERENCE

The Parliamentary correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" reports that Mr Krassin has transmitted to Moscow the details of his interview with Lord Curzon, accompanied by a personal recommendation that the substance of the British demands should be accepted. WHITE SEA* FISHERIES. BRITISH TRAWLER'S ESCAPE. LONDON. May 20. The Grimsby trawler Jeria was 15 miles off the White Sea coast, when a Bolshevik gunboat signalled that she was under arrest.. The skipper of the Jeria pretended to misunderstand the signals, and until dusk countered the gunboat's manoeuvres to head the Jeria into land. She then mado a dash for liberty, with the gunboat in close pursuit. The Jeria fired distress rockets and the British gunboat Godetia hastened to the scene with her guns uncovered, and the Bolshevik vessel slunk away towards the shore. FISHERMEN RELEASED. LONDON, May 20. The members of the crew of the trawler James Johnson, which was captured by the Russians, have returned to Newcastle after forty days' captivity.
