CLEARING SALE AT THE PEAKS.

Mr C. 0. T. Rutherford, having 1 disposed of his Kanuka property at lie Peaks, North Canterbury, a dispienishing sale was held on Friday, conducted by Dalgety and Co. Ltd.. in conjunction with H. Dairy cows sold at £l4, £ll, £lO and £9, springers at £9, £S 10s and £5, 6 dry cowb at £3 and 22 three-year-old steers at £4, and a Friesian bull at £7 7s. The horsos sold were two aged draught mares at £37 10s and £22, six-year-old geldin-"- at £4O, a five-year-old at £3l, and a five-year-old half draught mare at £l2 ss. Amongst the implements sold were a reaper and binder at £SO, dray and frame £3O, four-wheel waggon £55, turnip ridger £2o,' roller £lO, hay rake £l6, d.f. plough £ll, set disc harrows £25, cultivator £23, 5-lo'af tine harrows £ll, 4-leaf harrowß £9, Avery scales £lB, Murray wool press £22, and a spring oarfc at £27.

A parcel of' land' in North Canterbury oompTising 2864 acres was offered for sale by publio auction on Saturday by Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd., Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and Jones, McCrostie and Co., Ltd., joint auctioneers, on account of Mr Q. a. Starky. The property was run up to & per acre, but was passed in at thai figure, on account of its failing to reach the reserve placed upon it. THE PROPERTY MARKET.
