PENNSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY CARNIVAL. (Received April 29fh, S.S p.m.) jXEW YORK, April 28. At Philadelphia, England' 3 colours were lowered in the first ©vent of the University of Pennsylvania relay carnival, whan, Morgan, of the Oxford University fcaffl, fini hei a had sixth in the two mile international run, which Columbia won. Morgan startel well and led the field for nearly half th 3 distance, but he gradually dropped back. Oxford won the mile sprint, Steven3on finishing seven yards ahead. The British representatives led at 660 yards, but yielded at 880 yards, when Milli-ran, Oxford's captain, began to reduce Georgetown's lead. Iftlligan leaped ahead in the last hundred yards', gaining a lead of seven yards, which Stevenson maintained to the last. Later.
According to *• telegram from Philadelphia the Stnle Oolfege won the two mile relay race, setting a new record of .468 4-ssec. Oxford was second in a field of six four-men' teams.
