DOMINION'S FINANCES.
FAVOURABLE COMMENT AT HOME. (•PICI.U, to "xak rasas. ') OAMAR'O, April 27. In the course of a speech at Herberjb to-night,' the Prime Minister stated that that evening he had received a cablegram from London, saying that the announcement in regard to the nuances of New Zealand' had caused very favourable comment in financial circles there. Anything that happened in connexion with financial matters in this Dominion was looked into very closely in London, the people Were said New Zealand was in a splendid financial position, and the cablegram indicated that it we wanted a loan within the next few months, 'they ( would,put it through for us. According to' the cablegram, he could have a loan placed in London next week if he wanted to do so. The Prime Minister, in referring t» the reduction in beef rates (ns announced on our Commercial page) said the reduction referred to was equal to 7s 6d per head on beef exported.
