CHURCH CONVOCATION. ATTITUDE TO PATRIARCH. (bs cable—pbess association—copybioet.) ("the times.") RIGA. April 25. The Russian paper "Isv«stia" announces that s€o delegates will attend the Church Convocation on April 29th. The proceedings will comprise the declaration of the Church's attitud3 towards the Bolshevik revolution and the Patriarch Tikhon. The ""Isvestia" states that the method of electing delegates has assured a majority of the rank and file, but the Nijninovgorod local congress was dissolved because it opposed the New Church Administration, which is sending out missionaries to establish an-ti-Tikhon parties and promote a change among the Orthodox clergy^

INDUSTRIAL STAGNATION. (Received April 27th, 8.5 p.m.) MOSCOW. April 26. M. Rykoff, President of the.Economic Council, M. Bogdnnos and other members of the Labour and Defence Council reported at the Communist Congress that the condition of the manufacturing industries, as well a* production it> calamitous. Th* State is unable to support even the most vital industries, and the outlook for the coming half-year 16 desperate.

MERCHANT SHIPPING. MOSCOW, April 26. M. litvinoff (Rusaia) and Herr Rantz&u (Germany) have signed an agreement for an addition to the Rapollo Treaty, under which meroliant ships seieod at sea during the war shall remain in the hands of their present owners.
