"Captain Smith" was known to the American police In connexion with the ' running of a fraudulent Ibank. in St. Louis. Other charges are arriving from New Zealand, Copenhagen Pittsburg and : London. Captain Smith, the wooden-legged man, is not an alias of Warren, but aseparate man, who, the police believe, is the real leader of a rogues' corporation, v :
