SANATORIUM LADIES' GUILD.
Mrs H. T. J. Thacker presided at the first annual meeting of the (Sanatorium L;idies' Guild, which was 'lcimed in order to relieve the distress of several Sanatorium patients. The annual report was read and received. During the sacred concerts wore held in order to augment the Guild's iunds. Materials were purchased', and a. considerable quantity of useful warm underclothing was forwarded to the Sanatorium.
At Christmas, suitable gifts were handed to several of the patients, and strawberries and cream were supplied to the three Sanatoria. Letters of appreciation of kindness have been received by ills Holmes from a number of the patients. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £l9. In order to carry on the work it will be necessary .to appeal to the public for subscriptions. Mrs H. T. J. Thacker, who was granted six months' leave of absence, was re-elected pre iJent for the coming y ar. Mrs J. C. Holmes, Madam GowerBurns, and 'Miss Jane Denniston were elected vice-pr.s dents. The c remittee comprised Mesdames G. J. Blackinore, A. L\ Pcrd. L. Taylor A. Good, P. W. Eiby, E. Newall, Taylor, and- Hahernoldi; treasurer, Mrs A. Wildey; secretary, Mrs J. Mason. The Guild is to be congratulated on the good work it has done during the year.
