SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
Rokeby. —At the householders' meeting at Bokeby there were only seven present. The following were declared elected: —Messrs L. Alexander (chairman), R. Storey, A. J. Magson, and F. Honeywell. One other remains to be chosen.
Overdale. —At the householders' meeting at Overdale only five were present, and these now constitute the committee, Messrs E. Oakley (chairman), G. Hurst, A. C. Hurst, Q. Oakley, and E. Oakley. Mead.—There were six householders present at the annual meeting at the Me,id. lho committee is as follows: —K. Taylor (chairman), W. Shellock, F. Cornelius, W. J. Breading, and E. Patrick.
Maronan. —The annual meeting of householders was held in the Maronan School on Monday evening, a representative number of the district being present. Before electing the new committee the following resolution was passed: "That this meeting of householders recommend the Board, when transferring teachers from one school to another, to avoid, as far as possible, appointing temporary teachers, and to make a permanent appointment before transferring where possible." The following committee was then elected: —Messrs L. Galletly (chairman), W. H. Mulligan (secretary), L. Stone, F. Higgs, W. Johnson. Tinwald. —Messrs Lowry, Watts, Paish, Carpendale, and Henderson were the only persons nominated. These were duly elected, and it was decided to recommend the following to complete the committee: Messrs T. Gudsell, Gilmour, Frew, and Good. Mr J. Lowry was elected chairman, and Mr Carpendale secretary and treasurer. Mayfield.—Messrs C. Sewell, L. Oakley, B. Oakley, D. Edmond, and I?ev. J. Johnston (chairman). Secretary, Mr D. Edmond. Lismore. —Messrs J. A. Fleming (chairman), W. A. Lill, F. Sargent, C. Dunstan, and T. Mulligan. Elgin. —Messrs A. Brown (chairman), 6. W. Leadley, J. Nelson, W. G. P. Hoathen, and P. Hyland. Wakanui.—Messrs W. J. Doak (chairman), A. Protheroe, G. Brand, S. Dalton, and F. Frampton. Seafield. —Messrs J. Bruce (chairman), A. Bennison, F. Johnston, A. Gregory, H. Driscoll. Clandeboye.—Messrs W. H. Staniland (chairman), J. Coockey (secretary), W. Hickey, C. J. Neville, T. Ward.
