Methodist Church. Sunday School anniversary and children'* yearly services were held in the Methodiflt Church, on Sunday, special invitations haying been sent out to all old scholars to attend. The morning service was conducted by Rev. Percy Paris, assistant editor of the "Methodist Times," and pastor af. the Sydenham Methodist Church, who delivered a,n able and interesting address to the young people. lie Rev. S. Bailey waa the preacher in the evening, when there was a record congregation. Mr Bailey took for his subject "The Place oif tho CVilcl in tho tion, Church, and Home," and "Jeaus called to Him a little child and placed him' in- the' midst" (Matt. 18, 2, R.V.). - The: pleasing feature of the day in all tho services was the beautiful -singing of nearly 100 children,, assisted by the ohoir. The new hymn*, choruses, and solos were splendidly sung ta organ accompaniment, reflecting great onedit bn Mrs Livingstone and Mrs Huston, who; for several weeiis, had trained the songsteXß for the occasion.
