HUGE EXPENDITURE,

Sir William Joynson-Hicka (Parliamentary Secretary for Oversea Trade), answering questions in the House of Commons, said the expenditure on the Empire Exhibition to date totalled £750,000. It was estimated that it would reach £2,435,000 when the Exhibition closed.
