CHESS.
CANTERBURY V. WELLINGTON. When the Canterbury-Wollington telegraphic chess match was contested in November last, three games were marked incomplete. These were referred to the Auckland members of the New Zealand Adjudication Board, whose report has now come to h&nd._ Wins ore awarded to Canterbury at boards 6 and 14, and to Wellington at board 16. The final score of the match is ' therefore: Wellington 11 wins, Canterbury 9 wins. Tie Wellington Club can thus look back on a very successful record in last year's contests, having drawn the matches against Auckland and Otago, and won from Canterbury and Nelson. The Auckland Chess Club won the club championship of New Zealand, for which only the scores made at the twelve highest boards are taken into account. The scores in the recent match with.
