By devoting, to his work among the desolate people of Europe, the money value of the* Nobel Peace prize he was awarded, Dr.'-Nansejj is following the example of previous recipients of-*the Nobel awards. Cremer, a pbor man, gave the whole of the £7500 he received to help the cause of -international peace; Rablndranath Tagore devoted ms to educational work in India; Mr Roosevelt handed his prize money to a.fund for furthering industrial peace;.. Lord Rayleigh- presented his to Cambridge in aid of scientific research; Maeterlinck founded a French literary prize with his-award, and M.- Asser divided his .between i various Associations devoted to-international law.
