OBITUARY.
CONSTABLE H.. ANDERSON. Corietable Henry Anderson, who had been a member of the Christchurcli Police Force for sortie months, anu who, owing to ill health, had done little active duty, died in tne hospital yesterday morning. The deceased, who was born in 1»82,. went to the South African "War with the Fifth Contingent, and while on active service sufered from enteric fever. On his return to New Zealand he joined the Police Force in Wellington, about 18 years ago. The late Constable Anderson waa stationed at various times at Wellington, Auckland, Gisborne, Mastorton, Brunnerton, Duntroon and Akaroa, coming from the last-mentioned station, on account of failing health; to Christchurch a few months ago. He is survived by a widow and one child.
