N,Z. MALAY EUBBEE COMPANY. The animal meeting 1 of members of tie New Zealand Malay Bubbejr Company was held at. Oamaru last week,' Mr' P. C. Hjorring (chairman of directors) presiding'. The relport and balance-eheet were adopted. TEe directors, Messrs P. 0. Hjorring and A. J. Grave, were re-elected, and Mr J. D. Mackiaack was reappointed auditor. A letter from Mr Q-. Bell, estate manager, was reid. Mr Bell reported that tapping operations were resumed last month (October) and, largely owing to the agreement ywith the Dutch colonies as to the restriction of production, the prospects of the rubber industry have greatly improved, and better prices should -be seoured in the immediate future. Satisfaction was expressed at the rising market, and it was mentioned that at to-day's price production would show a fair margin of profit.
