BUNYAN'S TOMB RESTORED.

In the presence of leading Non-con-formist divines the restored tomb of John Bunyan was unveiled and rededicated at Bunhill Fields, London. The ceremony was preceded by a service in Wesley's ChapeLnearby. [Bunhill Fields, in City road., is the famous cemetery of the Non-conform-ists in London, known formerly as Tindal's burial ground, from one Tindai who leased it from the Corporation ot London soon after its formation in 1665. It ha s been disused since In this ground are the tombs of Jotm Bunyan (died 1688). Daniel Defoe (died 1731), Dr. Isaac Watts, the hymn-writer (died 1748), and William Blake (di,ed 1828). Here rest also Dr. John Owen died 1583), Dr. Thomas Goodwin (died 1680), who attended Oliver Cromwell on his death-bed, General Fleetwood (died 1692), Cromwell's son-in-law, ana Susannah Wesley (died 1742), mother of John Wesley. Wesley's Chapel faces Bunhill Fields across the City road.]
