THE LATE MR W. M. JOYNT.
A very large cortege followed the funeral of Mr W. M. Joynt on Saturday forenoon from the Royal Hotel to the Bromley Cemetery. The many mourners included: Messrs Harold and Arthur Oiarkson, of Masterton; all the mem-bers-of the Canterbury Fir® Underwriters' Association, the directors of the Westport-Stockton Ooal Co., Jones, oUcCrostio and Co., Ltd., Gienmore Brick and Tile Co., the president and past-presidents of the Federal Club, and many members, Colonel Hobday, Messrs W. H. Clarke, R. V. Mason, > H. J. Otley, Wm. Martin (Timaru), G. H. Mason, F. M, Warren, J. M. Morrison, C. F. Edgar, Supt. C. Warner, H. James, H. VV. fitown, J. S. Barrett, J. 11. Brown; C. D. Morris and many others. The pall-bearers were Messrs J. ±l. Cameron (chairman of the JL'ire Underwriters' Association), J. F. Grierson, yf. S. Godfrey, W. F. Soper, T. A. Joynt, and J. A Staples.
