Tho annual meeting of tho Provincial Council tpok place on Friday evening at ""the YM.C.A. In. addition to the city and suburban delegates there wero present representatives from Ashburton and! Timaru, the chair being occupied by the Provincial Chief Ruler Bro. A. Martin, who briefly reviewed tha operations of tho Council. Tho annual report and balance-sheet indicated substantial progress. A largely increased membership of the juvenile department waa reported by tho superintendent, Bro. G. Hooking, who waa specially thanked ior his energetic services. Tho following officers wore elected:—Provincial Chief Euler Bro. A. D. HaseaM, Deputy K.C.R.; Bro. E. A. M. Leaver, Provincial Secretary; Bro. ■C. H. Baacana, P.G.J.M.; Bro. G. Hcskinr, P.G.F.M.; Sister Collorick, Provincial Lsvite; Bro. Butchers, minute secretary, Bro E. Wilson. Tho ceremony of installation was carried out by £istor E. Kennedy. D.D.C.R., assisted by P.C.R. Bto. J. Sxith. Several important matters affecting the welfare an 4 efficiency of the order were discussed. Hearty thanks to the retiring officers were passed. '
