SUNDAY CONCERT.
A concert to raise fluids to provide an outing for children and disabled soldiers was held in the Liberty Theatre last evening. There was a very large and appreciative audience. The organisers of the concert were Mia J. C. Holmes, Mrs R. McLaren, and Mm J. 0. Nicholls. The following wae the programme-:—Overture; nolo, "Abide With Mo" (Liddle), Miss Mahol Dyer; solo, "E Luoevaa'la Stella" (Puccmi)) Mr P. S. Nicholls;, aria, '.'Ave Maria" (Gounod), Mrs R. McLaren (n6e Miß» Corrie Asian), cello, Mr Francis Bate; faarp, Mr Harry Glaysher; solo, "Lead Kindly Light" (Mrs Meredith); 'harp solo, Mr Harry Glaysker; bolo, 'A. Land of Roses" ,(Terc-sa del Riego), Miss 'Ray Livingstone'; operatic . solp, "Ariosa" iPagliacci), Mir P, S.' Nicholls; . duet, "In Springtime" (Ernest Newton), Miss Ray Livingstone and Mrs R. McLaren; song, Mr C.- Cooper. Mrs/King-played,the accompaniments. All tHe artists were/well receivod,w?dMrs McLaren was;.especially, -warmly weloomed. Theorganisera are to be "congratulated on the success of their ' efforts.
