MEN'S TEAM FOB SYDNEY. The committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, has decided to send a learn. Qf six uien to represent New Zealand against Now South \\ ales _at Sydney in March. Associations will be asked >o nominate thoir m.'St prominent players, and from the nominations, tweive players will be asked to go in for training. The New: Zealand, team will be picked on form shown ai the iNew Zealand championships, and rref.xence will be given to players attending tho New Zealand tournament, but shou.d a play-r give reasonable reasons for not paying in the championships, his absence will < not debar, him from selection in the team. New Zealand sent a team composed of Messrs J. R. Hooper, H. A. Park-r, H. M; Gore, and T. V. Colli™? to Sydney in'lß96, and these players defeated a .New South Wales team by 18 seta to 10. In 1904, a team composed! of Messrs H. A. Parker, J C. Peacock, O. C. Fox, F. Laiahley, It. N. K. Swanston, and C. St.. G. Gore vifitec Sydney, and diealed a team from the Hunter River Association, as well as the Npw Sonih 'Wales representative team. The latter contest was a hot one, and New Zealand just .won by 11 matches to 10.
