MASSED BANDS' CONCERT.

SUNDAY CONCERT IN THE GARDENS. The Gardens to-morrow will witness the most interesting band concert yet given there. Seven bands are • participating in giving a programme of music that will mark Sunday, November 12th, as a red-letter day in the annals of band music In addition to selections by the Woolston, Berry's Military, Eegimental, and Tramway Bands, the hearts of all Scotsmen wi'l be stirred by the thrilling strains of the bagpipes, played by the Caledonian and the Highland Pipe Bands. Special marches will also be played by the Fifth Battalion Drum and Bugle Band. The Gardens have never looked eo beautiful, and certainly no more delightful spot could have been selected for the great musical feast that will be provided by the united bands in aid of the Chrislclrarcb. War Memorial, Bridge of Bemembrance. The bands will assemble in Cathedral square at 2.15 p.m., and draw for the order of starting.. The first band will play to the Gardens at 2..30 p.m., the other bands following at interva's of five minutes, i. At the Gardens a special platform haa'boen erected, and, arrangements are being made so that the bands may be seen and heard by all under the most favourable conditions. - The War Memorial Committee expects a record number of visitors, and confidently appeals for a record collection at the pates. I/ast Sunday £lO7 was subscribed, and if each, visitor contributes a shilling to-morrow this eumi'should be more than doubled. Each contributor will receive a souvenir programme of this 'unique concert.
