WAR DUMP SALVAGE.

Sir John Mann, who was controller of munitions contracts in the Ministry of Munitions from 1917 to 1919, states that as a result of a discovery by a young engineer, P. Pickett, of a method of utilising metal from ammunition dumps after the war, metal extracted from 600,000 tons of French, British, and German ammunition fetched £4,000,000.
