BURGLARIES IN WELLINGTON.
WHOLESALE THEFTS OP GOODS. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM,) WELLINGTON, November 9. Daring burglaries have been reported to the police. In one case the thieves got away with £450 worth of goods. The first case occurred some days ago, Whitehead and Pears, drapers, losing £l5O worth of stock. In the second case the premises of Hay wards Ltd., ladies' tailors, on Lambton Quay, were broken into and £3OO worth of stock was stolen. The burglars entered Haywards by coming down from the terrace overlooking the rear of the shop. They took out a fanlight and removed costly bead bags, imported French cloths, and silk wear of various descriptions. This was the second time Haywards had been broken into.
